Myanmar’s new trademark law successfully passed the transition period

After a period of experimental transition, Myanmar’s new trademark law will be officially implemented from July 1 , 2023 .

The following is the trademark examination process in Myanmar:

Documents required for trademark registration in Myanmar:

• List of designated goods/services (Nice Classification)
• Power of attorney (TM2), requires notarization and certification
• Trademark image (JPEG format, minimum resolution 60dpi)
• If the trademark applicant is a company, the company business license and legal entity type must be provided
