Singapore and Malaysia sign PPH bilateral agreement

Recently, the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) signed a bilateral PPH agreement with Malaysia, expanding the global PPH partner network to 33 intellectual property offices around the world.

The PPH pilot between IPOS and the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) will commence on January 18, 2025 and will last for two years.

Using the PPH will speed up the examination process of your patent application:
✔️Speed up the issuance of the first office action notice. The first IPOS office action notice will be issued in 10 months✔️The authorization rate will be 90% higher
✔️Reduce the total number of examination opinions

Note: IPOS is part of the GPPH network with more than 27 participating national offices. IPOS also has PPH agreements with the European Patent Office (EPO), the IP offices of China, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, France and Malaysia.
