Qatar Trademark Office ushers in new era of digital services

The Qatar Trademark Office, also known as the Intellectual Property Protection Department within the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Qatar, has announced the official launch of its digital transformation, effective July 2025. This initiative is part of the country's broader e-government strategy, which aims to streamline administrative procedures and improve access to official trademark services for local and international rights holders.

• The Official Gazette of Trademarks is now available in digital format.
• The Trademark Office has also launched an electronic registration certificate.

Under the new system, some trademark registrations will be issued digitally only, with no paper certificates available. To ensure a balanced transition, some trademark certificates may remain in paper form until the transition to a fully digital model is completed.
