News flash! Australian PCT international application fees increase

From July 1, 2023, Australia’s PCT international application fees will undergo the following changes:

1. Transmission fee, the fee remains unchanged at AUD 200;
2. International search fee, the fee remains unchanged at AUD 2,200;
3. International application fee pages 1-30, the fee increases from AUD 2,088 to AUD 2,247;
4. Extra page fee, for each page exceeding 30 pages, the fee increases from AUD 24 to AUD 25;
5. International application fee pages 1-30 submitted in PDF format via epct, the fee increases from AUD 314 to AUD 338;
6. International application fee pages 1-30 submitted in XML format via epct, the fee increases from AUD 471 to AUD 507;
7. Prepare certified copies of basic documents, the fee remains the same at AUD 50 per document;
8. The fee for copies of documents cited in the international search report remains unchanged at AUD 50 per document;
9. International preliminary examination fee, IP Australia serves as the International Searching Authority (ISA), the fee remains unchanged at AUD 590;
10. International preliminary examination fee, if an intellectual property office other than the Australian Patent Office serves as the International Searching Authority (ISA), the fee remains unchanged at A$820;
11. International preliminary processing fee increased from A$314 to A$338;
